Fire Station Visit 2009

We took twenty-two Cubs along to the Birkenhead Community Fire Station on Exmouth Street, to meet Blue Watch, and to continue our Personal Safety Badge.

We were shown around the fire tender and, as the rain stayed off, the Cubs all had a go at the fire hoses. Later, we took over the stations lounge and had a very interesting discussion on what to to in case of a fire at home. Billy got to wear a BA set (that’s Breathing Apparatus) and we even turned the air on before he collapsed.

Before we left we presented the Station with a framed necker and badges in recognition of the assistance and support they have given The Tenth over the years.
